Sr. Software Engineer at Genova Technologies

Luis Giraldo has extensive experience in the field of software and electrical engineering. Luis began their career as a Research Electrical Engineer at CRQ, where they designed and built a control system for a hydroelectric power plant. Luis then worked at their own business, LF Electronica, as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on the design of hardware and embedded software systems for various applications.

Moving on, Giraldo joined the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Research Assistant, where they designed a digital controlled phase shifting system for a radar. Luis then transitioned to Clipper Windpower as a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for developing assembly procedures and tests for the manufacturing of equipment.

After that, Giraldo worked at Rockwell Collins as a Software Engineer, collaborating on the design of a flight control system for the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker. Luis then joined Genova Technologies, initially as a Sr. Software Engineer, developing embedded software for a range of John Deere equipment. Luis later assumed the role of Sr. Software Architect, where they focused on software architecture, ECU integration, and project planning for John Deere seeders, planters, and air carts. Most recently, Giraldo has been working as a Sr. Software Engineer for John Deere through Genova Technologies, specializing in the development of novel algorithms and rapid prototyping systems for diesel engines.

Throughout their career, Giraldo has gained expertise in various areas including model-based software development, MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, C/C++ coding, AUTOSAR, and testing methods such as MIL, SIL, HIL, and VIL.

Luis Giraldo obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Antonio Nariño. Luis attended this institution from 1995 until 2003. Later on, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, which they completed between the years 2004 and 2006.
