Samuel Bermúdez Ureña

As Regional Managing Principal of Gensler’s Latin America Region, Sam is committed to servicing clients across Central and South America. He is a passionate relationship-builder and a relentless advocate for quality work. Sam leverages his extensive experience in workplace design, master planning, hospitality, and retail to grow these practices in Latin America. He uses his knowledge of the local market to advise global clients who are new to the region. Through client relationships and talent development, Sam has been instrumental in growing the Costa Rica office into one of the largest and most respected design practices in the region. A registered architect, Sam is a member of Gensler’s Board of Directors as well as Costa Rica’s Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y Arquitectos. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University.
