Job Summary: In this role, you will be based at project site, responsible for all construction activities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction plan for the project(s) with EPC contractors, decide project construction methodologies, MEN & materials plan, mobilization of infrastructure providers such as cranes, JCBS, etc, lead & approve inspection, test protocols and construction scheduling;
- Oversee contractor/workforce qualification and selection;
- Provide key inputs on construction costing, contracting structures, and risk vs. cost comparisons;
- Collaborate with the development team to align land and permitting with project constructability;
- Contribute to CAPEX planning and CAPEX data for future projects;
- Handle pre-construction activities and team coordination;
- Manage time, cost, quality and HSE Compliance for Gentari’s construction activities;
- Create and maintain Construction Project Plans, identifying continuous improvements and concerns;
- Review construction contracts to ensure timely, quality and cost-effective delivery;
- Spend time at sites monitoring EPC activities and QHSE plans.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Project or Construction Management with Chartered Engineer license or an equivalent certification;
- At least 12 years of experience in construction management within the renewable energy sector;
- PMP certification shall be an added attribute;
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing utility-scale renewable energy construction projects in India, with proven ability to delivery complex construction projects and effectively resolve challenges during the construction phase;
- Skilled in technical and commercial aspects, including creating and managing agreements and maintaining relationships with contractors, suppliers and customers;
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, best practices, environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies;
- Excellent communication, collaboration and project management abilities;
- Strong commitment to sustainability and renewable energy principles;
- Must be willing to be temporarily stationed at project sites, and travel extensively to various project sites.
