Jerry Girard

Jerry Girard has extensive experience in software and systems engineering for automotive companies. Jerry is currently working at Gentherm as the Lead Platform Embedded Software Architect/Advanced Software Engineering. In this role, they are leading the transition of Gentherm's ClimateSense product into a scalable software platform and building a platform development team.

Prior to Gentherm, Jerry worked at DENSO for ten years as a Software Team Leader/Senior Engineer. Jerry was responsible for V2X, Telematics, PEPS PaaK, and HVAC systems. Jerry also had dual-role experience as a software technical team leader and software project manager, coordinating internal and external teams and directly interacting with customers.

Before DENSO, Jerry worked at Lear Corporation for five years as a Senior Engineer. Jerry focused on software modeling, autocode generation, and led software development and validation teams for body control, RKE, and Passive Entry systems. Jerry also participated in new business RFQs and project planning.

Prior to Lear Corporation, Jerry worked at Visteon Corporation for nearly ten years as a Product Design Engineer. Jerry specialized in model-based design of electronic HVAC climate control technology and managed the engineering design processes from start to finish. Jerry also developed control algorithm models and strategies and performed calibration and validation.

Jerry began their career at Ford Motor Company as a Product Design Engineer. Jerry worked on the design of electronic HVAC climate control technology, managing projects from concept to demonstration and presentation. Jerry also performed vehicle integration, networking, and data acquisition.
