Dede Maddox has over three decades of experience in the insurance and financial industry. Dede started their career as a Bank Teller at NationsBank in 1990 before moving on to roles such as Policyholders Services Representative and Business Analyst at First Colony Life Insurance. Dede then transitioned to roles at GE Financial Assurance, where they served as a Contestable Claims Examiner and later as a Team Leader of Life and Annuity Claims. Most recently, Dede held various leadership positions at Genworth, including Director of Life and Annuity Claims, Director of LTC and Annuity Customer Service, and Director of Operations/Producer for Long Term Care.
Dede Maddox has a B.A. in Business Management from the University of Lynchburg (1996) and an Associate degree in Business Administration from Central Virginia Community College (1989). Dede also holds an MBA in Leadership from Liberty University (2010). In terms of certifications, they completed the CLTC Comprehensive Course in LTC Planning (2015) and the State Department of Insurance's Insurance Agent License program (2015-2016). Additionally, they have completed the Licensed Series 6, 26, and 63 program (2004-2016) and the Advanced Leadership Course at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business (2012). Dede also received training at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia in The Experienced Managers Course (1999). Furthermore, Dede holds certifications as a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) from LOMA and as a Fellow, Life and Health Claims.
