David Orton

David Orton has held various positions in the technology industry since 1990. David began their career at Silicon Graphics (SGI) as the Senior Vice President of the Visual Systems Group. David then moved to ArtX as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 1999. In 2000, they joined Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) formerly ATI Technologies Inc as the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Visual Media Businesses and the CEO. David then joined SGI again in 1997 as the Senior Vice President of the Visual Computing Group. From 2007 to 2013, they were the Board Member and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SuVolta, Inc., the Board Member of zSpace, Inc., and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aptina Imaging. Since 2013, they have been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board Member of GEO Semiconductor, Inc.

David Orton received their Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Economics from Wake Forest University in 1977. Prior to that, they had attended Duke University from 1973 to 1979, where they earned their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
