Babu Manickavasakam

Babu Manickavasakam's work experience includes a variety of roles in the information technology industry. Babu began their career as a Software Engineer at Infosys in 2003 and worked there until 2007. Babu then joined Manhattan Associates as a Manager in the Client Services Organization, where they progressed to become a Principal Design Lead & Manager consultant. In this role, they were responsible for handling multiple accounts and leading technical and functional design for Manhattan's WMS software. Babu also provided feedback to improve the core WMS solution and managed resources for key customer accounts. In 2014, Babu joined GEODIS as a Senior Manager in IT and Implementation, where they worked on designing and implementing complex eCommerce and direct-to-consumer IT solutions. Babu later became the Director of IT and was responsible for end-to-end delivery and support of IT solutions using Manhattan WMS. In 2018, they were promoted to Senior Director of Information Technology, where they saved $650k in IT resources and standardized the IT cost model. Most recently, Babu served as the Vice President of Information Technology at GEODIS, where they led IT governance and integration planning for M&A activities and led the development of new DTC/E-Commerce services. Overall, Babu has a strong background in IT leadership, system architecture, and project management.

Babu Manickavasakam completed an Executive MBA in Global Supply Chain from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee in 2020. Babu also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Periyar University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Prior to these degrees, Babu attended Army School in Secunderabad and Army Public School in Lucknow, although the specific dates and fields of study are unknown.
