Jouko Nieminen

Jouko Nieminen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of geology, mineral processing, and sustainable circular economy. Currently serving as the Director of GTK Mintec and Head of Unit for Circular Economy Solutions at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) since June 2018, Jouko leads business development and marketing initiatives in the Nordic region, focusing on laboratory automation and mining industries. Prior to GTK, Jouko held key positions at PANalytical as Business Development Manager and Country Manager, managing business operations across Finland and neighboring regions. Earlier roles include Managing Director positions at Kätkä Viisi Oy and Kassiopeia Finland Oy, as well as General Manager at Hotelli K5 Levi. Jouko's academic background includes a Master of Science in Geology and Mineralogy from the University of Turku, an eMBA in Management, and a HR degree.
