Willemijn Smeets

Willemijn Smeets has extensive experience in spatial development and project management, currently serving as Project Leader and Advisor at GEONIUS since October 2017. Previous roles include organizing sports events for children at Olympos Sports Centre Utrecht and conducting research for multiple master's theses at Utrecht University, focusing on park usage by adolescents and accessibility for the elderly in declining villages. Earlier work experience includes a ski instructor position at Sport Alpin, an internship at Provincie Noord-Brabant researching the complementarity of top facilities in BrabantStad, and internships at Wintraecken advies and Wonen Limburg. Willemijn holds a Master of Science in Urban Geography from Utrecht University and a Bachelor’s degree in Built Environment from Breda University of Applied Sciences.
