Iris Malone, PhD, currently serves as the Director of AI and Data Science at GeoQuant, focusing on the development of scenario analysis frameworks and forecasting models for geopolitical risks. Previously, Iris held the position of Principal Investigator at the National Counterterrorism, Innovation, Technology and Education Center, where machine learning models for U.S. threat forecasting were created and deployed. Iris has also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at the Elliott School of International Affairs, teaching advanced courses in data science and machine learning, while publishing extensively on conflict and economic issues. Prior roles include Graduate Researcher and Instructor at Stanford University, where a dissertation on geopolitical forecasting was developed, and Research Director at The Hoover Institution, leading significant research projects. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Political Science from Stanford University and a BA in Government and Chemistry from Cornell University.
