Rachael G. is a military faculty member and Program Director for European Security Studies at the George C. Marshall Center since May 2021. Concurrently, Rachael is a PhD student in International Security & Economic Policy at the University of Maryland, focusing on the economic policy and security implications of the evolving Arctic region. Previous experience includes language studies at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center and various roles within the U.S. Navy, including serving in the Commander's Action Group at Allied Joint Force Command Naples and as a European Engagement Officer. Rachael has taught courses at the US Naval Academy, designed an Arctic Security course, and holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in International Security from Georgetown University and a PhD from the University of Maryland.
