Joanna Cole BSc ACA has a comprehensive work experience in finance and accounting. Joanna began their career as an Auditor at KPMG UK, where they conducted audits and prepared financial statements for clients. Joanna then worked as a Group Accountant at RPS Group, where they were responsible for producing and analyzing consolidated Group accounts, managing tax returns, and performing budgeting and forecasting tasks.
Afterward, Joanna worked at Centrica as a Senior Financial Accountant, where they were involved in the production of consolidated accounts, preparation of financial statements, and improvement of cash flow analysis and reporting. Joanna also worked as a Cash and Working Capital Analyst for Centrica's telecommunications business.
Joanna then joined Vodafone Australia as a Senior Finance Manager, leading a team of financial accountants and overseeing the production of monthly and annual financial results. Joanna actively sought to adapt to changes in the business and implemented necessary improvements.
Joanna then joined The George Institute for Global Health as a Financial Controller, where they managed financial operations and provided strategic support. Joanna continued their role at George Clinical, a division of The George Institute, before moving on to become Finance Manager at The George Institute for Global Health UK.
Currently, Joanna is the Head of Finance, Europe at George Clinical. Their responsibilities include management accounting, financial accounting, forecasting, budgeting, external audit management, statutory accounting, tax, payroll, HR matters, and business support. Joanna also played a crucial role in setting up operations in the UK, Netherlands, Italy, and Spain for the company.
Joanna Cole BSc ACA obtained their Chartered Accountant degree from the ICAEW, where they received training from KPMG during the years 1997-2000. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry at the University of Surrey from 1993-1997. Their education history began at Windsor Girls School, where they pursued A-Levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics from 1987-1993.
