Jim Neal

Jim Neal is an experienced nonprofit professional currently serving as the Director of Consulting at the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, a position held since November 2021. With a focus on nonprofit effectiveness and organizational development, Jim previously acted as the Interim President of Southface Institute during a leadership transition. From February 2016 to September 2021, Jim operated as the Director of Operations for Friends of Refugees, overseeing budgeting and operations for a nonprofit supporting thousands of refugees. An independent consultant from 2014 to 2016, Jim provided strategic planning and performance improvement services to mission-driven organizations. Jim's earlier roles include Vice President at The North Highland Company and Principal at Kurt Salmon, both focusing on strategy execution for various clients. Jim holds an MBA in Strategy from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BS in Finance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
