Cherri Nix

Cherri Nix is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in STEM education and program management. Currently serving as a Program Manager at the Georgia Department of Education since June 2022, Cherri previously held the position of District STEM/STEAM Coordinator for Bibb County School District from June 2019 to June 2022. Cherri's teaching background includes roles as a Science Teacher at multiple educational institutions, specializing in AP Chemistry and Environmental Science, with notable achievements such as developing the first Scientific Research Class for Houston County and achieving high pass rates in AP courses. Cherri's leadership roles include serving as Science Department Chair and active participation on various committees. In addition to a robust teaching career, Cherri has a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbus State University, completed in 2019. Prior to the education sector, Cherri accumulated a wealth of experience in quality assurance and food safety management in the food industry.
