Steve McLaughlin currently serves as the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a position held since 1996. In addition, McLaughlin has held various academic roles at Georgia Tech, including Dean of the College of Engineering and the Steve Chaddick School Chair at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Prior experience includes a position as Assistant Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and several engineering roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Eastman Kodak Company. McLaughlin earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science from Princeton University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northwestern University.
