Richard Ellis

Richard Ellis has extensive work experience in the credit union industry. Richard has held various roles in Georgia's Own Credit Union, starting as Assistant Vice President/Compliance in 2010 and progressing to Director of Compliance, Vice President of Business Acquisition & Compliance, and Vice President of Business Acquisition. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President - Market Development & Expansion. Prior to joining Georgia's Own Credit Union, Richard worked as Vice President/Compliance Services in Georgia Credit Union Affiliates from 1994 to 2010.

Richard Ellis completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Finance, General from the University of West Georgia, where they attended from 1990 to 1994. Richard also attended the Southeast Regional Credit Union School (SRCUS) from 2005 to 2008. During their education, Richard obtained certifications such as the Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) from the Credit Union National Association in November 2015, the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Expert (BSACS) from the same institution in December 2006, and the Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) in December 2003.
