Dr. Birgit Morherr

Dr. Birgit Morherr currently serves as Lab Manager at the Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen (DZNE) since August 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Morherr was a Product Specialist at I&L Biosystems GmbH from January 2019 to August 2023, focusing on a diverse product portfolio that included microfluidics-based cell sorters and automated cell line development systems. Earlier experience includes serving as Application Specialist in Cell Biology at I&L Biosystems GmbH, being a Scientific Assistant in Covid-19 Diagnostics at LIFE & BRAIN GmbH, and working as a Postdoctoral Scientist at DZNE. Dr. Morherr earned a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Groningen in 2017, following a comprehensive educational path that included degrees in Pharmakologie & klinische Pharmazie, Humanbiologie with a focus on Tumorbiologie, Bioscience with Biomedical Sciences, and Applied Biology.
