Hanna Lea Knecht

Hanna Lea Knecht is a Research Scientist at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), specializing in psychosocial factors affecting dementia patients since December 2022. Previous experience includes a research internship at U-CARE, where methodological skills and teamwork competencies were enhanced. Hanna also served as a tutorial instructor for Bachelor students in speech therapy during the final semester at Hochschule Fresenius, focusing on neurological disease-related speech pathologies. Clinical internships at Kliniken Schmieder Heidelberg and CI-Zentrum Stuttgart provided extensive experience in speech therapy for aphasia, dysphagia, and audiological assessments. Additional logopedic internships at LogoMotiva Logopädische Praxis and Logopädische Praxis Sprachinsel involved providing speech therapy to both children and adults. Hanna holds a Master’s degree in Global Health from Uppsala University and a Bachelor of Science in Speech Therapy from Hochschule Fresenius Hamburg.
