Helena Gellersen

Helena Gellersen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) since July 2022, focusing on behavioral and neural changes in preclinical Alzheimer's disease to enhance early detection efforts. Previous experience includes participation in the EnterpriseTECH Entrepreneurship Programme at the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre, a Science Policy Placement with the Royal Society, and supervision of undergraduate psychology courses at the University of Cambridge. Helena also contributed as a Project Lead for Global Health Policy at Polygeia and completed an Industrial Research Placement at Aviva, where novel risk factors for dementia were identified. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge, a Research Master in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from Maastricht University, and a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience from Jacobs University Bremen.
