Marianna Maiers

Marianna Maiers (Nitusova) is an expert in technology transfer and innovation in remote sensing and geoinformatics, currently working at the Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam - German Research Centre GFZ since September 2021. In this role, Marianna coordinates R&D innovation networks and focuses on business development and technology transfer for seismic measurement technologies. Previous positions include Program Manager for aerospace and geoinformation technologies at GEOkomm, Project Manager for the Michael Succow Foundation in the Caucasus region, and Program Officer for WWF Germany overseeing projects in multiple countries. Marianna has also contributed to international organizations such as GIZ and the United Nations University and holds a diploma in Natural Sciences from The University of Bonn.
