Derrick Low

Derrick Low has over 17 years of work experience. Derrick began their career in 1993 as a Cashier at Tip Top Liquor Warehouse. In 2000, they became a Delivery Driver at Little Caesars Pizza. The following year, they were a Clerk at Front Row Video. In 2002, they were Floor Staff and Cashier at Rasputin Music. From 2003 to 2006, they were Office Assistant at Asphodel Records / Recombinant Media Labs. During this time, they also transitioned the independent record label to early digital distribution channels and streamlined royalty tracking. In 2006, they became a Video Analytics Engineer and QA Engineer at 3VR. Derrick then worked as an Operations Analyst at thredUP from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, they have been a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer at Getaround since 2019. In this role, they have created data models to enable self-service analysis, developed a strategy to migrate Looker instance from Postgres to BigQuery, and automated eligibility determination for monthly owner guarantees program.

Derrick Low obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Francisco State University between 2002 and 2006. Derrick also completed an Intensive Mandarin Course at the Chinese Language Department of National Taiwan University in 2016.
