Joe Rey (JR) Gonzales

Joe Rey (JR) Gonzales has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2014 as a Health Club & Spa Attendant at Hilton Austin. In 2017, they moved to SAMUELS JEWELERS- division of GITANJALI as an Accounting Clerk, where they were responsible for reconciling and maintaining $150 million worth of inventory. In 2018, they took on the role of Accounts Payable Temp at Accountability Resources, where they entered and uploaded invoices manually into the Nexus Software and verified vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements to internal records. In 2019, JR moved to American Campus Communities as a Corporate Accountant, and currently holds the role of Lead Accountant at Grin® since 2022.

JR Gonzales began their educational journey in 2011 at Austin Community College, studying Business Administration and Management, General. Joe Rey (JR) continued their studies at Texas State University from 2016 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Accounting. Joe Rey (JR) then returned to Austin Community College in 2018, where they obtained an Advanced Accountant Technical Certification in 2019. Additionally, JR obtained two certifications from the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service in 2017: an Advanced VITA/TCE Certification - 2016 and a Basic VITA/TCE Certification - 2016.
