Rifat Çağrı Ekin

Rifat Çağrı Ekin is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Getir since June 2022, Rifat oversees five critical departments, including platform engineering, data engineering, core engineering, back office/internal tooling, and payment infrastructure. Prior to this role, Rifat functioned as the Chief Technology Officer at Connected Molecules (now Smart-Now), leading innovations in IoT for self-service machines. Rifat's career includes significant positions such as Head of Engineering at DAZN, Engineering Manager at VNGRS, and Lead Software Engineer at EMU, building expertise in payments, e-commerce, and data services. Rifat began a career in technology as a System Administrator at AFKOM Ltd. and holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Ege University.
