Aracely Cruz, CHRL, CHRP

Aracely Cruz, CHRL, CHRP is currently serving as the Vice President of People Ops and Culture at Cognota, a certified Great Place to Work®. In this role, they report to the CEO and is responsible for strategic and operational People functions, with a focus on culture and high performance. Aracely is dedicated to taking HR Operations to the next level by developing and implementing People programs across multiple locations as the company continues to grow and scale.

Prior to their current role, Aracely worked as the Human Resources Senior Manager at PCI Geomatics from April 2020 to March 2022. Aracely reported to the President and CEO and was responsible for managing various HR programs, including talent acquisition, recognition programs, leadership development, and employee engagement. Aracely successfully translated the organization's business vision into HR initiatives that improved performance, profitability, and employee engagement.

From November 2003 to February 2020, Aracely served as the Human Resources Director at RLDatix. Reporting to the President and CEO, they managed a wide range of HR functions and developed all existing HR processes within the organization. Aracely'sresponsibilities included payroll administration, HR policy development, employee screening and hiring, staff training and development, performance management, and team building events.

Before joining RLDatix, Aracely worked at PSTG Consulting as an Office Manager from 2000 to 2003. In this role, they reported to the President and CFO and was responsible for supervising office activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity. Aracely also coordinated recruiting and hiring processes during their time at PSTG Consulting.

Aracely Cruz, CHRL, CHRP, completed their education in Human Resources Management from George Brown College from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Aracely has also acquired various certifications throughout their career, including First Aid for Mental Health from St. John Ambulance Ontario in April 2018, Certificate in Workplace Investigations from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in February 2018, The Osgoode Certificate in HR Law for HR Professionals from Osgoode Hall Law School in May 2017, and Workers Safety Certification- Level 1 and 2 completed from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) in September 2007.
