Mazen Sadek

Mazen Sadek has a diverse range of work experience in various software engineering roles. From 2023, Mazen worked as a Software Engineer at GetYourGuide. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer II at Careem from 2021 to 2022. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Mentor Graphics as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they were responsible for launching new releases and enhancing tools. Before that, Mazen was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The American University in Cairo from 2016 to 2019, where they improved grading efficiency by implementing automated grading. Mazen also gained experience as a Software Developer Intern at INTELLISC in 2015, where they worked on web development projects. Additionally, Mazen had internships at Allen Coding, ITW Marking and Coding Group, Xerox, and Schneider Electric, where they gained practical experience in embedded software development, software representation, and control automation. Mazen also worked on research projects at UC Davis Medical Center and UC Davis, focusing on programming, data analysis, and quality testing.

Mazen Sadek completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from The American University in Cairo from 2009 to 2015. In addition, they pursued another Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of California, Davis from 2012 to 2013. Prior to their university education, Mazen completed their Thanawya Amma degree in Mathematical Science from Al-Motafwqeen Secondary School from 2006 to 2009.

Mazen also obtained various certifications to enhance their programming skills. In April 2020, they completed the Data Structures and Algorithms Bootcamp from Udemy. In October 2015, they obtained certifications in Foundations of Programming: Data Structures, Foundations of Programming: Databases, Foundations of Programming: Fundamentals, and Foundations of Programming: Object-Oriented Design from lynda.com. Additionally, in October 2015, they completed certifications in Java Essential Training (2011) and SQL Essential Training, also from lynda.com. Furthermore, in November 2014, they finished the certification course titled An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python from Coursera.
