Paul U.

Paul U. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2015, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Elsevier, where they focused on conversion rate optimization and improved click-through rates. Paul then founded their own sole proprietorship, Ursulean Consulting, in 2016, where they provided software engineering services and worked on tasks such as full stack web development, mobile app development, market research, and data mining. From 2017 to 2018, Paul served as a Teaching Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, contributing to several bachelor-level courses and developing a card game engine for teaching machine learning and decision theory concepts. In 2019, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Technical University of Munich, supporting master students in the Machine Learning course through grading, explaining material, and answering questions. Paul then joined BMW Group in 2020 as a Researcher, working on research projects until 2021. Currently, Paul works as a Backend Engineer at GetYourGuide, starting in 2022.

Paul U. completed their education in computer science. From 2014 to 2018, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Following this, from 2018 to 2020, Paul pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Informatics from the Technical University of Munich.
