João Rodrigues Fernandes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in various industries. João began their career with a pre-traineeship at Codimetal Industries, S.A. in 1998. Later, they joined Amorim Industrial Solutions in 2001, where they worked as an Applications Engineer, focusing on customer technical support, new product development, and applications/materials benchmarking. In 2008, they moved to Amorim Cork Composites and held multiple roles, including Applications Engineer and Project Manager, Key Account Manager, and Global Segment Manager. João's responsibilities included sales, team management, product development, and marketing-related tasks. In 2020, they joined Getzner as a New Business Development professional, where they are involved in strategy development and new business models. João's expertise lies in technical sales, product management, business development, and team leadership.

João Rodrigues Fernandes has a diverse education history. João started their educational journey in 1994 at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1994 to 1999. In the year 2000, they attended the CECOA - Centro de Formação Profissional para o Comércio e Afins, specializing in Financial Analysis.
