Michael Lafollette

Michael LaFollette has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being the Director of Strategic Business Development at Gevo, Inc. starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked at TPC Group from 2014 to 2021, where they held various roles including Senior Manager of Operations Excellence and Senior Financial and Business Analyst. Michael also served as a Production Manager, leading multiple C4 processing units and overseeing budgets, schedules, and production plans. Before their time at TPC Group, LaFollette worked at Rio Tinto from 2005 to 2014, where they held roles such as Production Manager and Utilities and Production Engineer, responsible for managing plant operations and ensuring effective maintenance and supply of utilities. As a Process Engineer, they also optimized process controls and supported equipment inspections at the copper smelter production units.

Michael LaFollette earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2004. Michael then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the same university in 2008.
