Veerle Schepens

Veerle Schepens has extensive work experience in the field of Occupational Medicine. Veerle started their career at Encare in 2002 as an Occupational Health Physician and worked there until 2008. After that, they joined spmt arista and continued working as an Occupational Health Physician until 2019. In 2017, they also worked at UGent as an Occupational Health Physician. Since July 2019, they have been the Head of the Department of Occupational Medicine at Ghent University.

Veerle Schepens completed their education at KU Leuven. Veerle obtained a Master's degree in Medicine from 1995 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from 2002 to 2006. Lastly, they completed a Postgraduate degree in Radiation Protection/Health Physics Technician from 2009 to 2010.
