Virginie Mortier

Lab Manager - Aids Reference Laboratory (ugent) at Ghent University

Virginie Mortier has extensive experience in the field of biotechnology, currently serving as the Lab Manager at the Aids Reference Laboratory at Ghent University since June 2011. Prior to this role, Virginie was a PhD student at VIB-UGent from January 2007 to May 2011, where the research focused on “CLE peptide signalization during nodulation on Medicago truncatula,” under the supervision of a professor. Virginie also gained experience as a Research Assistant at Ghent University in 2006. Virginie holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biotechnology from Ghent University (2007-2011), as well as two Master’s degrees in Molecular Biotechnology (2004-2005) and Biotechnology (2002-2004), along with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (2000-2002), all from Ghent University.
