BJ Wright

BJ Wright is a Partner at ghSMART where he co-leads the firm’s operations in Europe. He supports CEOs, boards and investors on key leadership priorities including CEO Succession, organizational transformation, management assessment, executive coaching, and capability building. His clients range from Fortune 500 CEOs and senior executive teams to private investors and their portfolio companies.

Prior to joining ghSMART, BJ was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for 5 years and a member of the London, New York, and São Paulo offices. As part of both the Healthcare and Corporate Finance Practices, he worked on a broad range of topics including organizational design, strategy, M&A, post-merger integration, and business/leadership performance. In addition, BJ managed the development of McKinsey’s approach to client organizational capability building globally and helped design and deliver a cornerstone leadership training program affecting ~500 McKinsey consultants annually.

BJ has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Columbia University, where he earned an NSF Fellowship and studied under Prof. Sam Danishefsky. He also has a B.A. in Chemistry from Willamette University, where he graduated cum laude and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. BJ lives in London with his wife and their two daughters.
