David Longworth

David is a Principal at ghSMART. He supports leaders of high performing organisations in leadership assessment, top team effectiveness, talent management and organisational change.

Prior to joining ghSMART, David was a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group in the London office where he worked with CEOs and senior leaders of the world’s top firms on topics including strategy, large-scale transformations and M&A. As a core member of the Industrial Goods practice, he supported clients in building materials, aerospace and defense, steel and private equity. In addition, David led the interviewing process for the London office, providing and improving the training for all interviewers.

David previously led retail operations for BBOXX, a rural solar energy provider, living and working across East Africa. In this role he was responsible for building a scalable business model including designing organisational structures, operating processes and bespoke IT systems. David began his career as a service engineer at Rolls-Royce working on military jet-engines, where he focused on innovating new aftermarket products and services. During this time he was awarded UK and US patents.

David holds a First Class MEng degree in Engineering Science from St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
