Reshmi Paul is a Partner at ghSMART based in New York and leads the firm’s CEO succession practice. Her 25 years of strategy and leadership consulting make her a valued trusted leadership advisor for Boards, CEOs and senior teams of Fortune 500 companies globally. Reshmi uses her expertise in CEO succession and strategic succession management, C-suite executive assessment, onboarding and development, and senior team effectiveness to deliver value to clients through their leaders. She has been a highly effective CEO coach to both experienced and first time CEOs. She has served global clients including the Blackstone Group, CPPIB, American Express, PepsiCo, Pfizer, S&P Global, Takeda and UPS.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Reshmi was a Partner at RHR International where she served as the Global Practice Leader for private equity clients and co-led the development of RHR’s Executive Women Leadership Initiative. Prior to RHR, Reshmi spent nearly a decade at the strategy consulting firm, Monitor Group. She has extensive experience in a number of industries including financial services, private equity, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, professional services, consumer products, retail, and telecommunications.
Reshmi serves on the Board of BluWave-ai, a Canadian start-up with artificial intelligence software that improves energy grid prediction, optimization and controls for renewable energy sources to have a positive impact on our planet.
Reshmi is Vice-Chair and serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trickle Up, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower ultra-poor women around the world to build sustainable livelihoods through grants, skill-building and savings groups.
Reshmi holds an MBA from INSEAD in France, a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University in New York, a Masters of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors degree with Honors from Queen’s University in Canada with majors in Mathematics and Economics. Reshmi lives in New York with her husband and has three children. Reshmi has lived and worked in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Japan, France, India and Liberia.
