Rockford Yapp has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. In 1989, they worked as a Consultant for Health System International, where they investigated measurements of work and outcomes using a DRG based system for outpatient services. In 1990, they became a Medical Advisory Committee and Member for Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Rockford then served as an Attending Physician at an unspecified organization starting in 1991. In 1994, Yapp became the President and Founder of Digestive Health Services, a clinical practice that provides diagnosis and treatment for gastrointestinal and liver diseases, as well as performs clinical research. In 1997, they worked as a Consultant and Medical Advisor for a Medical Advisory Board. Rockford Yapp has a strong education background in the field of healthcare and medicine. Rockford completed their Masters in Public Health from Yale School of Management from 1987 to 1991, focusing on Public Health, Health Care Management, and Clinical Research. During this time, they also pursued a fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine from 1987 to 1990, specializing in Clinical Outcomes and Research.
Prior to their time at Yale, Rockford Yapp completed a Residency in General Medicine at Northwestern University from 1984 to 1987, with a focus on Internal Medicine.
