Chris Reid

Chris Reid has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Chris currently holds the position of Managing Director, Head of Direct Investments Group, PE Europe at GIC, which they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director, Deputy Head of Direct Investments Group, Europe at the same company. Chris began their career at GIC in July 2012 as a Senior Vice President and held that position until June 2022.

In addition to their role at GIC, Chris has taken up non-executive director positions at various organizations. Chris has been a Non Executive Director at Miller Insurance Services LLP since March 2021, Allfunds Bank S.A. since November 2017, and Nets Group from March 2018 to July 2021.

Chris is also the Co-founder and Trustee of Teddy's Wish, a charitable organization they established in 2014 following the tragic loss of their baby to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Earlier in their career, Chris worked as a Senior Advisor at Arle Capital Partners, an Investor at 3i Group plc, and as an Assistant Manager at Deloitte. Chris began their professional journey as an Associate at Arther Andersen.

Chris Reid completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham between 1995 and 1999. Prior to that, they attended Downside School from 1990 to 1995 for their high school education. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in International Financial Markets from the University of Southampton, which they completed in 2001.
