Ali Asad

Ali Asad is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Lead Portfolio Manager for equity quantitative long-only and long-short strategies at GIC since August 2016, contributing to a multi-asset multi-strategy portfolio. Previously, at NTUC Income from August 2010 to July 2016, Ali Asad held several roles, including Assistant Manager/Manager in Asset Allocation, where responsibilities included analyzing and proposing investment ideas for an absolute return multi-asset class portfolio, as well as overseeing risk management and performance activities. Earlier roles included Executive/Senior Executive in External Fund Management, focusing on selection and oversight of a multi-manager portfolio, and a position as Management Associate. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Business (Finance) from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and an exchange program in Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand.
