Michael McMahon

Michael McMahon is Senior Vice President of Portfolio and Asset Management. He is the Portfolio Manager for GID’s separate account co-investment fund with OPERF. In addition, Mr. McMahon is the asset manager for a multibillion mixed use development with a sovereign wealth fund. He also oversees numerous joint venture development projects and is also responsible for asset management for various individual assets, primarily in New York City. Previously, Mr. McMahon was the Portfolio Manager for a multifamily fund with CalSTRS and a suburban office fund with a major corporate pension fund that were each sold in their entirety. Michael joined GID in September 1998 as an Acquisition Analyst and transferred to Portfolio and Asset Management in 2003. During his tenure, Mr. McMahon has closed over $3 billion in transactions.

Prior to GID, Mr. McMahon worked as a financial analyst for Northland Investment Corporation and as a real estate appraiser for Recoll Management Corporation. Mr. McMahon graduated from MIT with a Masters in Real Estate Development and earned a BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in Real Estate. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, serving on its Multifamily Council, and the Pension Real Estate Association.
