Henry Barrera, PHR, SHRM-CP has over twelve years of experience in Human Resources. Henry began their career in 2009 as a Staffing Clerk at METHODIST STONE OAK HOSPITAL. In 2012, they began working at The University of Texas at San Antonio, first as a Human Resources Specialist II, then as a Change Management Analyst, and finally as a Lead HR Specialist. In 2018, they moved to The University of Texas System, where they worked as a Business Analyst I and a Training and Documentation Specialist. In 2020, they joined The University of Texas at Dallas as a PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst II, and in 2023 they became a Senior Business Analyst at Gideon Taylor.

Henry Barrera, PHR, SHRM-CP obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications from The University of Texas at San Antonio between 2003 and 2008. In 2013, they received a Prosci Change Management Certification from Prosci. In 2014, they obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Finally, in 2015, they earned a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM.
