Mara Cabrelli MCIPD

Mara Cabrelli MCIPD has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Mara is currently working as the Head of People at Giggle since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief People Officer at Lightspeed Broadband Limited from February 2021. Before joining Lightspeed, they worked as the Chief People Officer at AtmosClear Investments, a Swiss-based global private equity and venture capital group focused on renewable energy and clean-tech investing, from October 2020 to February 2021.

Mara also has experience as a Self Employed professional, where they developed a property portfolio from September 2016 to September 2020. As part of their role, they handled property purchase, financing, supplier selection and management, project planning, budget controls, and sales negotiations.

From September 2005 to September 2016, Mara served as the Head of Human Resources at 4C Associates Limited, where they successfully established the HR Department from the ground up for a large procurement consultancy services company. Mara managed the entire employee life-cycle and played a crucial role in growing the company from 40 to 250 employees across 7 European locations.

Mara's earlier experience includes working as an HR Business Partner (Generalist Role) at VIGLEN LIMITED from June 2003 to September 2005. Mara served as a Human Resource subject matter expert and reported to the CEO of one of the largest suppliers of IT Hardware and Software solutions to the Education Sector in the UK.

Furthermore, Mara worked as the Head of Human Resources at DEMICA PLC from May 1998 to December 2003. Mara was one of the four founding members of the software product business and played a vital role in building the company to a size of 120+ employees. Mara oversaw all facilities and HR functions, built the HR department from scratch, and established processes and procedures for the entire employee life-cycle.

Mara Cabrelli MCIPD has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies from the University of Sussex. Prior to attending university, they attended St Dominic's School for Girls. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as an MCIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and as a Neurolinguistic Practitioner.
