Andy Fryett has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Andy started their career as a Customer Trainer at GEC Telecommunications Ltd in 1989. Andy then joined Nokia in 1992, where they held various positions such as Customer Training Manager, Deployment & Training Manager, and Program Manager. At Nokia, Andy was responsible for the transfer of service capability for new products and solutions and oversaw the deployment and support of Nokia's mobile communications network products.
In 2008, Andy joined the State of Florida as the Network Operations Centre Manager. In this role, they led a team of engineers in maximizing the availability of telecommunications and data services provided to Florida's state government agencies. Andy also introduced network security monitoring and coordinated with engineering, IT helpdesk, and Data Center teams.
In 2013, they joined GigSky as the Director of Customer Advocacy, where they represented the voice of the customer within the organization and led the establishment of a 24/7 contact center-fronted customer support organization. Andy later became the Vice President of Services Operations, responsible for managing various teams, including Network Operations, Customer Support, and Order Fulfillment.
Andy worked at Stanford University from 2014 to 2022, holding positions such as Resident Fellow, Special Projects Manager, and Interim Associate Dean of Residential Education. Andy led staff and students in creating an undergraduate residential experience and managed projects related to student life at Stanford.
In 2021, Andy worked as an Area Manager at HR Support, where they liaised with San Mateo County in managing vaccine sites and supervised daily operations, staff, and patient relations.
In 2022, they returned to GigSky as the Head of Customer Advocacy.
Andy Fryett obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Andy later pursued a Master Certificate in Orchestration for Film and TV from Berklee College of Music between 2009 and 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Andy obtained an Inclusive Mindset certification from LinkedIn in March 2021, a Finale 2014 Essential Training certification from LinkedIn in January 2021, an Introduction to Cyber Security certification from Coursera in October 2018, and a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2020.
