Siavash Manafi

Siavash Manafi is an accomplished geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in research and practical applications. Currently serving as Chief Researcher at GIKEN LTD. since July 2023, Siavash previously worked as a Numerical Analysis Consultant Engineer at IMAGEi Consultant Corporation, where responsibilities included designing solutions for complex geotechnical problems and writing client reports. Siavash's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from Kyushu University, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship that focused on flow slides and liquefaction countermeasures after the 2018 Sulawesi earthquake. Earlier roles include Senior Civil Engineer at BES.
