Dave Rooks

Dave Rooks has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Dave most recently worked at Gilson as the European Sales Director. Prior to that, they held roles at Tecniplast UK as the Head of Sales and Marketing and Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland. Dave also worked at VWR, part of Avantor, where they served as the UK Sales Manager for Equipment, Projects, and Sustainability, as well as a Capital Project Manager and Capital Equipment Specialist. Additionally, Dave has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool, where they conducted research on microbial communities and developed molecular methods. Dave also worked as a PhD Student, studying bacteriophages, and as an Industrial Placement Student at Unilever, focusing on bacterial species identification.

Dave Rooks has an extensive education history. Dave earned their PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Liverpool, which they attended from 2006 to 2010. Before that, they completed their Bsc in Molecular Microbiology from The University of Liverpool from 2002 to 2006. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Dave attended Antrim Grammar School from 1999 to 2006. In addition to their academic achievements, Dave also holds a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, obtained from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2017.
