Matt Bernard has extensive work experience in sales and management roles. Matt is currently the National Sales Director - Instrumentation at Gilson, where they are responsible for maximizing revenue and profitability. Prior to this, they served as the Area Sales Director - East at Gilson, leading the field sales staff and achieving sales objectives for the company's product offerings. Before joining Gilson, Matt worked at ITW as the Global Sales Manager - Medical Segment, managing a global portfolio of coated films for the Medical IV bag market. Matt also held various roles at Biotage, including Regional Sales Manager and Technical Sales Specialist, where they managed field sales teams and served as a liaison for special projects. Earlier in their career, Matt worked at W. R. Grace as a Chromatography Sales Specialist and Global Product Manager, Consumables.
Matt Bernard has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business, Management, and Marketing from North Carolina State University. Matt also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management & Marketing from Radford University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Strategic Sales Negotiations from the American Management Association in 2017, Situational Sales Negotiation from Chief Executive Boards International in 2016, and a Certificate of Completion in Fundamentals of Sales Management from the American Management Association in 2016. Matt also has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from W.R. Grace.
