Sophia Qin

Sophia Qin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the design field. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Marketing Design Intern at Salesforce.com. In 2017, they joined Paxata as a Marketing Design Intern before transitioning to DataRobot as a Visual Designer. In 2018, Sophia held positions as a Graphic Designer at Welwaze Medical Inc. and as a UX Designer for the Game Creation Society, where they successfully redesigned their website, resulting in a significant increase in membership. In 2019, they worked as a Product Design Intern at SAP. Sophia then pursued a User Experience Designer role at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute - Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science as part of their capstone project in 2020. Sophia later joined GIPHY as a Freelance Animator, creating animated gif packs and stickers that garnered recognition and reached 10 million views in under one year. Currently, Sophia is employed as a User Experience Designer at ZS, where they initially held the position of User Experience Designer before being promoted to Senior User Experience Designer.

Sophia Qin received their B.F.A in Fine Art and an additional major in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from Carnegie Mellon University, where they attended from 2016 to 2020. Before that, they completed their high school education at Lowell High School from 2012 to 2016, where they ranked in the top 10% of their graduating class of 630 students. In addition to their formal education, Sophia obtained a certification called "100 Mentorship Minutes" from adplist.org in February 2023.
