Tamelan Chauvet

Tamelan Chauvet is an experienced teaching artist currently involved with Girl Be Heard, People's Theatre Project, and DreamYard Project since September 2022. Previously, Tamelan served as a Program and Education Specialist at LGBT Network, delivering community education workshops and building relationships with schools and organizations. Tamelan's background includes roles such as a temporary clerk at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center during the COVID-19 vaccination project, front of house manager at Steve's Bagels, marketing intern at Dixon Place, and general intern at New Alternatives for Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth. Tamelan holds a Master of Arts in Applied Theater from CUNY School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College-Hartford.
