Associate Director Of Volunteer Support at GIRL SCOUTS OF EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS INC

Heather DeProfio has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Heather began their career in 2006 as a Sales Manager at RadioShack, where they worked until 2008. Following that, they held the role of Manager at Dunkin Donuts from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Flex as a Technical Support Specialist until 2011 when they transitioned to Verizon Wireless as a Customer Service Representative, where they worked until 2014. Since 2014, they have been working at Girl Scouts of Eastern MA, starting as a Troop Pathway Specialist and moving up to roles such as Volunteer Support Specialist and Senior Volunteer Support Specialist. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Volunteer Support.

Heather DeProfio obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Hesser College, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their high school education and received a High School Diploma from Lowell High School in 2005. In addition to their formal education, Heather has obtained several certifications. These include Youth Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in February 2022, Becoming a Water Safety Ambassador from American Red Cross Training Services in June 2021, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021, Wilderness/Remote Location First Aid from SOLO Wilderness Medical School in October 2019, Level 1 Instructor from USA Archery in November 2016, Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor from Penn Foster in August 2013, Girl Scout Gold Award from Girl Scouts of the USA in June 2004, and MEDIC PediatricPlus CPR, AED, and First Aid for Children, Infants, and Adults from HSI in July 2021.
