Abel Philips

Abel Philips has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Most recently, they joined GIS Benefits, Inc. in 2021, where they work in Benefit Technology Management. Prior to that, Abel held the position of Director of Business Development at QHD LLC starting from 2020.

Abel gained extensive experience as the Director of Business Operations at CP Medical Wear from 2010 to 2014. During their tenure, they successfully implemented a rebranding strategy after the acquisition of Rachin Uniforms. Additionally, they established standard operating procedures, built strong relationships with healthcare organizations, and expanded the service line by procuring additional suppliers.

Before joining CP Medical Wear, Abel worked at Spa Chakra as a Corporate Client Manager from 2009 to 2010. Abel played a crucial role in establishing relationships with surrounding companies and hotels, which resulted in increased revenue for the flagship location on 5th Ave. Abel also created a streamlined tracking system for commissions and organized a successful fundraising event for underprivileged inner city youth.

From 2007 to 2008, Abel served as an Account Executive at The Supporting Cast. Abel maintained key accounts while also establishing new client relationships, contributing to increased sales and an expanded service line. Abel also utilized the Women's Business Enterprise National Council certification to lead diversity initiatives targeting women and minority-owned businesses.

Prior to that, Abel worked at IVC Healthcare Staffing as an Account Executive from 2005 to 2007. In this role, they oversaw all sales and business development activities, including new account sales, key account management, customer relationship development, contract negotiations, and professional recruitment. Abel also handled advertising, conducted initial interviews for potential employees, and managed HR responsibilities for new hires.

Abel started their career as an Account Sales Representative Intern at Aramark Uniform Services from 2001 to 2003, where they completed the LEAD Program through Kettering University.

Abel Philips attended Kettering University from 1998 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Marketing Management.
