John Shramek

John Shramek has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS and project management. John started their career at Jacobs Engineering in 2004 as a GIS Specialist and worked there until 2008. John then joined the US Geological Survey (USGS) as a contractor, where they served as a Scrum Master and Web Developer from 2008 to 2013. John furthered their career at Esri, a leading geospatial software company, where they worked as a Course Developer and Project Manager from 2013 to 2022. After leaving Esri, they joined Geospatial Consulting Group International, LLC (geocgi) as a Project Manager from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Project Manager at GIS Surveyors, Inc., starting in 2023.

John Shramek completed their Master's Degree in Information Systems with a concentration in IT Management at the University of Colorado Denver from 2011 to 2016. John also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. John has obtained additional certifications such as SAFe Certified Scrum Master (SSM) from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2020, and ArcGIS Desktop Associate 10.1 from Esri in February 2014. It is unclear whether they have obtained the PMP certification or the dates of its completion.
