Michael Briggs

Michael Briggs has a diverse work experience in the field of surveying and geospatial services. Michael currently holds the position of Project Management Lead III at GIS Surveyors, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to this, they had various roles at Fugro Geospatial, Inc., including Data Processing Manager / Sr. Project Manager from January 2017 onwards and Service Line Manager from July 2017 to January 2018.

Before joining Fugro Geospatial, Inc., Michael worked at John Chance Land Surveys, Inc. as Sr. Project Manager and later as Data Processing Manager from July 2014 to December 2016. Michael also gained experience as Sr. Project Manager at Fugro USA Land, Inc. from January 2018 to March 2022 and at Fugro Aerial and Mobile Mapping from March 2012 to July 2014.

Additionally, Michael worked at John Chance Land Surveys, Inc. as Project Manager from July 2004 to March 2012 and as Sr. CAD Specialist from September 2000 to June 2004. Michael started their career as a CAD Draftsman at Advanced CAD Services from July 1998 to September 2000.

Michael Briggs attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1984 to 1985, where they pursued general studies but did not obtain a degree. Michael later enrolled at Southern Technical College from 1986 to 1988 and completed an Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting. In addition to their education, Michael has obtained certifications in "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" and "Leading at a Distance" from LinkedIn, which were obtained in September 2020 and March 2020, respectively.
