Ania Halliop

Ania Halliop is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as Senior Director Of Engineering at GitHub since June 2022. Ania oversees the Collaboration Workflows organization, managing 18 teams and over 160 engineers across North America and EMEA. Previous roles include Head of Software at Waabi, leading the engineering organization in self-driving technology, and Senior Director of Engineering at FreshBooks, where Ania focused on data engineering and infrastructure. Ania's career features significant contributions to various organizations, including leadership positions at Uber, BlackBerry, and Certicom, alongside co-founding a technical meetup to empower women in technology. Ania holds multiple degrees from Queen's University and several PMP certifications from the Project Management Institute.
